Driving Time on Quote Calendar

Driving Time on Quote Calendar

When quoting or booking a job onto the system, driving time is now illustrated on the mini quote calendar so you can easily see truck availability.  This is the shaded area above and below the job. And when you click to hold a slot, it will also show the driving time to the customer you are quoting. Just click the slot again to close the window.

By default, the shaded area will display the estimated travel time from the selected depot to the site and then back.

If no return travel time is shown, this will likely be because the job box is covering it. The return time will be calculated based on the arrival time plus any listed waiting time. So, if the job box covers a one hour time slot, but the return estimate plus waiting time is only 50 minutes, the shaded area will not appear. The job boxes can be resized by clicking and dragging on the bottom border.

If you have volumetric trucks performing multiple jobs without returning to the yard in between, you may want the shaded area to show the estimated travel time from the previous job site. If so, please call on 0116 298 2888 and we can enable this for you.

Once enabled, you will be able to click into the job, go to Amend, and then choose Change Depot and select Send Direct. This will set the job to navigate straight from the previous job on the Shipping page for that vehicle.

Once this is active, the job will have a white D in a green box as one of the icons along the bottom of the job, denoting that the travel time will be calculated from the previous job. The waiting time will be calculated from whichever job sits immediately above the selected job on the Shipping page. When this option is first selected, or when changes are made that might affect the travel time, AGG SMART will ask you to update the travel time by showing the Update Direct Time notice above the job.

To do this, click on the job in question and hit the refresh button shown next to the depot selected. A pop up will then appear in the top left of the screen to show the updated travel time calculation. The shaded area on the Shipping page will alter to match the new calculation.
