How to Add a Pump Operator

When adding a job that involves a pump, you have the choice within Pump Info to select the Pump Operator. By default, the only option will be Own Pump. This identifies that the pump is being operated by yourselves. However, that may not be the case, the pump may be being supplied by a third party. In order for your third parties to appear in this list, you need to add them as a Pump Operator.

To do this, first add them as a customer by clicking New Customer near the top of the Customers / Quotes screen. If they are already a customer, you can navigate to their customer page and click Edit Customer. Whether adding them as new or editing, scroll to the bottom of the Edit Customer pane until you see the Notes section. In this section, type [PUMPOPERATOR], including the square brackets, with all capitals and no spaces. Then click Add New Customer or Update Customer. 



Once you have done this, the customer will appear as one of the options when adding a pump. In a quote, go to Pump Info and open the drop down menu for Pump Operator and you will see your new entry available.
