The drivers have the function on their app to enter the amount of product that was delivered, and to recalculate the price. In fact, they cannot complete the job without doing so. AGG SMART does this, rather that just automating the quoted amount as the amount taken, in case the customer on site requires more or less than what was initially quoted. Whilst this is useful in keeping the job open or changes on the day, it also allows for drivers to make errors when entering their data. That is where the Check function comes in.
Once your job has been completed, you can click into it from the Shipping screen and view the details of the finished job. You may notice that the Delivered and Signed For amounts differ from what was quoted. This isn't necessarily a problem, it may just be that an extra metre was required, but it also may have been an error. At this point, we advise contacting the driver to ascertain what the situation was.
If the driver confirms that 5m³ was actually delivered, and that they accidentally pressed 6, the job needn't be restarted, you can amend it using the Check function.
Click View Quote from the bottom of the job page, and you will be taken to the Customers / Quotes screen with the chosen job highlighted by a pink border.
Here, you can see that the quantity has changed to show 6m³, and both the unit price and total price will have changed to match. Were you to click Edit, the quote would still show 5m³. Editing the quote once the job has been created will not affect the job. To make changes to the completed job, we need to press Check.
From here, we can amend the delivered amount to what it needs to be, check the unit price from the drop down, hit Calculate to correct the unit and total price, then confirm the change by clicking Update Order.
You can now see that the order is showing the correct amount delivered, as well as the correct prices. It is now ready to move on to being
invoiced.
